The 2012 Battle of the Bands will be held in Kiwanis Park on Sunday, May 20, from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m. Download your application here, or pick one up at the Brookfield Recreation Department at 8820 Brookfield Avenue, Brookfield, IL.

All applications must be submitted by March 30, 2012, to be considered for the competition. Only a limited number of bands will be selected to perform at the event.

Competition is open to those aged 12 to 21 and residing in Brookfield and surrounding communities. Please see application for complete rules and eligibility requirements. Any questions can be addressed to the Recreation Department at 708.485.1528.

At A Sound Education our highly qualified music instructors provide lessons for over 400 students every week. Our merchandise showroom boasts over 300 guitars and amplifiers along with countless accessories for all instruments. We also offer a rental program that includes all school band instruments and the necessities for the working musician. In addition, our repair service department provides full service repair including warranty work.

A Sound Education is proud that Midwest Music Menders is now a part of the family. Midwest Music Menders brings years of experience in repairing and servicing vintage equipment, as well as that more recently manufactured. They have moved from their 3422 North Elston Avenue, Chicago location and the craftsman are now doing all work on-premises at A Sound Education located in Brookfield, Illinois at 9433 Ogden Avenue. Easily accessed from I-290, 1-55, Route 34 (Ogden Avenue) or the Burlington Northern Santa Fe Metra line, having your equipment repaired is now more convenient than ever.
